ABOUT ME
My name is Tommy McGuire, I am a life coach and motivational speaker. In 2016, two weeks after graduating college at the age of 23, I had an injury that left me as a C3 quadriplegic. Over the past eight years I have been through many trials and tribulations that have given me a new outlook on life. I had to become mentally stronger in order to navigate this new life I had thrown at me.
The two biggest mental skills I advocate for now are patience and perspective. I was forced to utilize these two skills because I wouldn’t be where I am now without them. For years I referred to what happened to me that night as an accident, but over the years I’ve learned it’s served as an opportunity. The opportunity I have now is to be able to share my experiences, both good and bad, and be able to help anyone who feels as if there is no hope.
My mission is to help others find their own strength and inspiration, no matter what challenges they may be facing. I believe that with the right mindset and support, anyone can achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.
MY SPEAKING EVENTS
I’ve been fortunate to share my story at various speaking engagements. I've had the opportunity to speak at a range of venues, from Fortune 500 companies, such as Salesforce, to local schools and assemblies. By sharing my story, I aim to inspire others to overcome personal obstacles and build mental resilience among both the youth and young adults.
